What hotels in Cebu are good for every travel style?
Those who have decided to travel to Cebu Philippines will now make detailed plans such as 'Where to stay' and 'What schedule and restaurant can I visit?'.

Since Cebu is a tourist-oriented destination, there are numerous hotels, resorts and guesthouse.

1. A romantic trip with a lover
If you choose Cebu for a romantic trip with your lover, I think it would be a good idea to choose a hotel accordingly.
If you're enjoying a romantic trip with a couple, I think the main itinerary will be a gourmet tour, a cocktail on a beautiful beach or an island hopping with beautiful ocean views.
Naturally made white beaches in Cebu are not easy to find. It can mainly be found inside luxury hotels or resorts.
I'm going to recommand you to hotels where you can enjoy a romantic time.
A. Shangri-La's Mactan Resort & Spa
This is a very famous hotel chain, the Shangri-La Hotel.
It is undoubtedly the best hotel which has private beach and room condition in Cebu.
In fact, the offshore of Cebu Island is a little far from the beautiful amerald sea we imagine. However, the Shangri La Hotel's private beaches are one of the few hotels with beautiful white sand and beautifully colored waters.
The rooms of the hotel are also kept clean and have a view of the clear sea and blue sky of Cebu.
I think it is the best hotel for romantic trip.
B. Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan
Along with the Shangri-La Hotel, this is one of the best hotel in Cebu.
There is a restaurant overlooking the beautiful sea, so it is a perfect hotel for romantic breakfast and dinner.
The hotel's Infinity poor is also very beautifully decorated with nature, perfect for a quiet time.
The hotel rooms are also very neat and in very good condition.
Private villas can also be booked, making it a great option for couples on honeymoon or anniversary.
※The Shangri La Hotel and Crimson Resort are very good accommodations, but some of the demerits are as follows.
▷ The room with the cheapest options are about 150~200USD per night and is one of the most expensive hotels in Cebu. It can increase the proportion of accommodation costs in your travel budget.
▷ The hotel is located in inside Mactan Island, so it may be a little far away when going out to Cebu City or taking an Oslob tour.
2. A trip with Parents
There are many things to consider when traveling with parents.
In your schedule, movement should be minimized and searching the convenience accomodation for your parents.
The hotels that are suitable for the romantic trips above are also considered suitable hotels when traveling with parents. It could be a good idea to book a luxury hotel for one trip, as it's not often to travel abroad with your parents.
There is no white beach like the hotel above, but there are some good value-for-money hotel in Cebu.
A. Seda Ayala Center Cebu
This is 'Seda Ayala Center Cebu', formerly a Marriott hotel. It is next to Ayala Center, one of the central shopping centers, you can save a lot of movement time when going to shopping and dining.
The accommodation rate is around 100USD per night, so I think it is the best hotel in Cebu for the cost-effectiveness and location.
Although the interior interior is a little old, it is neatly arranged. My parents especially enjoyed the breakfast very much. The rice noodles served at breakfast seem to suit Korean tastes well.
The demerits of the Seda Ayala Center are that the room feels a little tight and the city view is bleak.
The hotel's swimming pool is very small, which can be a big weak point for those who value swimming pools.
B. Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort
This is 'Blue Water Maribago Beach Resort' located on Mactan Island.
The resort is also suitable for romantic trips too.
The accommodation rate is about 150USD per night, which is about the middle of a luxury resort and a budget hotel.
It is not a modern hotel, but a nature-friendly resort with a feeling of being in a jungle.
The hotel has 2floors room and 1floor bangalow and trees surround each room. These are making it a suitable hotel for a very quiet time while your staying.
There is a private white beach which you can have great rest with your family.
One of the resort's strengths is that the rooms are spacious. It's not a stylish design, but the ample space and bathroom give it an exotic feel.
The demerit of Bluewater Maribago Resort is that it is a bit far from Cebu City, same as other hotels in Mactan Island.
3. A trip with Kids
For a trip with kids, I think it would be better to have a hotel with a lot of inside playground for kids to enjoy. The hotels above are also hotels that are enough for kids to enjoy. In addition, i'm going to introduce 'J Park Island Resort & Water Park'.
A. JPark Island Resort and Waterpark
Water park and Pororo Park are available, so I think it would be a little more suitable for travel with children.
If the children are young, it may be difficult to meet the schedule of traveling with long distances or going out to sea for the safety.
With facilities for children to play, this resort seems to be an alternative.
There are many options that allow 2 children under the age of 13 to stay for free at around 200USD per night.
4. A trip with Friend or Alone
If you're traveling to Cebu with friend or alone, I think you'll spend more time doing activities than you spend at the hotel.
I'm going to recommand you hotel with low accommodation costs and convenient access.
A. Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu
This hotel is adjacent to Ayala Center.
The cost of accommodation is about 60USD per night.
It's also a great location to go out for massages, shopping and restaurant.
Although the room is a bit small, it is a good enough hotel for the price for an activity-focused trip.
The downside is that it can take a long time due to heavy traffic when returning to the hotel after island hopping in Mactan island.
If you prefer larger rooms, the smaller rooms may not be the right hotel for you.
